NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE SOCIETY
will take place in
THE LUCAN SPA HOTEL, LUCAN, CO. DUBLIN
on
WEDNESDAY 29th FEBRUARY 2012 at 7:00p.m.
A copy of the Agenda is attached.
OFFICERS OF THE SOCIETY:
A copy of Rules 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 of the Constitution of the Society is enclosed with this notification. Please read these rules carefully if you wish to nominate members of the Presidency, the Vice-Presidency or for the Council.
The Council will, as is customary, nominate persons for the offices of President and Vice-President. The general body of members may also tender nominations for these offices. A Nomination Paper is enclosed.
Please note that the paper nominating a member for the offices of President and Vice-President should be signed by each of the eight nominating members. In the case of members being nominated for Council signature of the two nominating members is needed on the nomination paper. In every case the nomination will require the assent of the nominee.
Please note that nomination papers signed by members whose 2011 subscriptions are unpaid will not be considered.
All completed nomination papers should be returned to the Hon. Secretary by WEDNESDAY 25TH JANUARY. The Council will then prepare the Ballot Sheets to include all nominations thus received and the Ballot Sheets will be submitted to all members of the Society entitled to vote during the following week.
Mr. P J O’Donnell of Pat O’Donnell & Co. will be the Council’s nominee for President for 2012.
Mr. Sean Finlay of Tobin Consulting Engineers will be the Council’s nominee for Vice-president for 2012.
